About Salma Mokhtar

Salma Mokhtar started learning the Oud instrument at The Oud House in 2014 under supervision of Oud virtuoso, Naseer Shamma. 

She soon graduated and became a teacher at The Oud House and joined its orchestra. 

She plays with the 2350BC Orchestra in shows overseas since 2015. She was invited by Naseer Shamma to join him on several of his own events and performance including shows at the Cairo Opera House, the Abu Dhabi Cultural Center opening ceremony, the opening of the Ithra Theatre in Dharan KSA, and the Arabic Music Days’ Festival at Pierre Boulez Saal, Berlin.

Her passion for the oud has further led her to produce music videos featuring the oud as Solist performance.
